Are you going to sell my email address?
No. We wouldn’t dream of it. We’re taken aback that you would even ask!
Who’s going to see my email address?
ODMM employees (which is just Russ, really) will have access to your email address. At some point, outside contractors may be hired to analyze data, but that hasn’t happened yet.
How often will you email me?
Roughly every few weeks. If you ever feel like you’re getting too much email, there will always be an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.
Will you contact me in ways other than email?
All you’re giving us is an email address, so that’s the only way for us to contact you.
Like just about any other website owner, we use Google Analytics, which collects data about visitors, like you.
What does Google Analytics record?
- What website, ad, or email campaign you came from to get here.
- How long you’re on the site.
- What kind of computer you’re using.
- Whether you signed up for our email list.
- Much, much more, which you can learn more about in the Google Analytics Tracking Code Overview.
But, none of the above data is personally identifiable.
What do I do with your data?
This tracking information lets me learn more about visitor behavior, which allows me to make better decisions about design and writing – thus being able to serve you better.
Occasionally, I will browse Analytics to find out the number of visitors this site receives and browsers being used. As stated before, no personally identifying data is included in this type of reporting.
All of my activity falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
