"Family is so important". This could mean several things to me, "I have kids", "we're going to go on trips with my folks", "my sister lives with me", "I'm a religious extremist and we pray together every day". "Must Love Dogs" really? It wasn't that good of a movie, and not very original. "I'm centered and/or grounded". Aka – they're NOT crazy. "I love my job" Personally I don't care if they love they're job, in fact most people don't so odds are that they like it well enough to say they love it but they don't actually "love" it. "I'm looking for the "One"" This myth is the reason there is so much angst in relationships these days. If someone cares for you deeply then you're way ahead of the game. But environment and circumstance play a big roll in the perpetuation of those feelings and without being conscious of them will crash the relationship and one or the other will start looking for the "Next One". When a guy says something like that, I immediately think, "Oh, another douchebag who can't stand someone with a different interest." If they waited in line all night for tickets for your favorite band instead, would you still think they're silly? As for the article, you got most of the ones that annoy me. I would be far more entertained by (and interested in) a guy who made fun of these things on his profile the way you did than anyone who ever used them. I usually glaze over and move on to the next profile when I come across these things. In my opinion, they're almost as bad as the countless form messages I get from guys too lazy to write me a sentence or two from scratch.
