Russ, as a woman I find your blog to be a very interesting foray into men’s mind :) So thank you for that. I’m a bit surprised to hear that guys on match.com are turned off by the “income requirement” section. For me, how much a man makes is not important in itself because thankfully, I’m doing ok financially and I can support myself but by the same token, I don’t want to support a man either. I found myself in that situation one too many times and I could be a minority here, but that is the primary purpose of my asking. Are you looking for a free ride or is there genuine interest? Wow! I’m amazed to hear of women lying about their height! Funny thing: I ran across an ex-girlfriend’s profile, and she said she was taller than she actually was in her profile, but SHORTER!? People will lie about some peculiar things! Thanks for sharing, joshlos.

Women lie about their height, too. I went out with one woman who listed herself at 5′ 8″, but was really 5′ 10″. Another woman I dated for a while listed herself at 5′ 4″, but was really 5′ 6″. I should say those have been the exceptions; most I’ve met in person after meeting online have been the heights they said they were online.
